President Hichilema Accepts Resignation Of Justice Catherine Kunda Makungu
PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema Has Received And Accepted The Resignation Of Justice Catherine Kunda Makungu As A Judge Of The Court Of Appeal.
Justice Makungu tendered her resignation on October 1st, 2026, through a written notice to the President in accordance with Article 142, Sub-Article 5 of the Constitution of Zambia.
According to State House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka, President Hichilema has thanked Justice Makungu for her service to the Judiciary and the nation.
Mr. Hamasaka says the President has wished Justice Makungu well in her future endeavors.
