August 13 declared public holiday for general election

Government has declared Thursday, August 13, 2026, a public holiday to allow eligible citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote in the General Election. According to a statement issued by Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick Kangwa, the declaration is in accordance with Article 56(2) of the Constitution of Zambia. LCC, RDA begin Kafue Road markings to improve road safety

Lusaka City Council, in collaboration with the Road Development Agency, has started road marking works along Kafue Road aimed at improving road safety and traffic management.
