Government has announced plans to amend the Zambia Wildlife Act Number 14 of 2015 to provide for the consolation and compensation of victims of human-wildlife conflict. Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary Evan Muhanga says the proposed amendments are aimed at strengthening protection for communities affected by encounters with wild animals.
