Secretary to the cabinet launches public service delivery toolkit

The Secretary to the Cabinet, Mr. Patrick Kangwa has urged the Government to continue improving the way it works by shifting from reporting activities to reporting outcomes.
Speaking during the launch of the Zambia Public Service Delivery Toolkit  recently, Mr. Kangwa described the toolkit as a significant milestone in the Government’s collective effort to strengthen public service delivery and accelerate the attainment of Zambia’s national development priorities.The Public Service Delivery Toolkit is Practical Guide to Delivering Results launched at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA).It is the product of concerted efforts between t NIPA,he Cabinet Office,Delivery Associates and the Presidential Delivery Unit.
Mr. Kangwa said the launch reflects a renewed commitment to enhancing the Government’s capacity to consistently translate ambition into results, policy into implementation, and national priorities into meaningful improvements in the lives of Zambian citizens.
He noted that the Government, under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema, has set ambitious priorities aimed at transforming the economy, improving service delivery, creating opportunities for citizens, and building a more efficient and responsive public service.
And NIPA Executive Director Professor Jacob R.S. Malungo said  the programme is designed to equip public officers with practical skills to translate presidential priorities into measurable results that improve service delivery.
