The Zambia Police Service has confirmed that warn and caution statements have been recorded from former Mporokoso Member of Parliament Brian Mundubile and lawyer Makebi Zulu in connection with an alleged offence of treason.
Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi says the alleged offence is contrary to Section 43(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Mr. Chilabi says the two have been interviewed by investigators and are currently in police custody.
He says the Zambia Police Service will provide further information on the circumstances surrounding the matter as investigations progress.
