ACC urges citizens to promote integrity as Africa marks anti-corruption day

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has urged the nation to reflect on the role each citizen plays in promoting integrity and strengthening the fight against corruption as Africa commemorates the 2026 African Anti-Corruption Day (AACD).
This year’s AACD is being observed under the theme, “Scaling Up the Promotion of Integrity and Anti-Corruption Actions Across Africa.”
ACC Director General Daphne Chabu has encouraged citizens to report suspected acts of corruption as a way of promoting integrity, combating corruption, and recognizing the important role each individual plays in enhancing national development.
Mrs. Chabu added that the ACC has also established Integrity Clubs in schools and institutions of higher learning to nurture ethical values among young people.
