A State funeral church service for Zambia’s late former Vice-President, Dr. Guy Lindsay Scott, has being held today at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka.
President Hakainde Hichilema accorded Dr. Scott a State funeral in recognition of his service to the nation and declared five days of national mourning in his honour.
Dr. Scott, who served as Zambia’s Vice-President and later became the country’s Acting President, will be laid to rest tomorrow at Leopards Hill Memorial Park in Lusaka.
President hichilema; Government officials, political leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, family, friends and members of the public attended the funeral service to pay their final respects to the late former Vice-President.
Mayfair Insurance Company has donated wheelchairs and cleaning materials to Matero Level One Hospital and the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka.
