UPND party urges its members and the public to refrain from speculation following the helicopter incident

The United Party for National Development has urged its members and the public to refrain from speculation and the circulation of unverified information following the helicopter incident involving Vice President Mutale Nalumango in Nakonde District yesterday.
UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda said the public should allow the relevant authorities to conduct comprehensive forensic and technical investigations before any conclusions are drawn.
Mr. Imenda said the party would await the outcome of the investigations before issuing any further comment on the cause or circumstances surrounding the incident.
He, however, expressed gratitude that Ms. Nalumango, the flight crew and all passengers escaped unharmed, describing the outcome as a blessing.
In a statement, Mr. Imenda also commended President Hakainde Hichilema for swiftly updating the nation after speaking with the Vice President.
