2026 agricultural show to run up to 22:00hrs

The Agriculture and Commercial Society of Zambia revealed that this year’s Agriculture and Commercial show would run for extended hours following the declaration of Zambia as a 24-hour economy.

Society President Rene Lourens said this would only be during business days, as a start towards keeping the event open for longer hours in the future.

He said “We are still adapting ourselves also to that, so, it will not mean that at 23hrs you can walk into the showgrounds I think this year we’re not yet ready for that,” adding that “but we’ll definitely extend our hours, 20:00hrs up to 22, we close the show”.

Mr. Lourens was speaking during the official press briefing ahead of the 98^th vent that will be held under the theme: “Fostering Trade and Investment”.
